A Greeting from the Superintendent…
Dear Cavaliers,
We are excited to welcome our students and families to 2022-2023 school year. This year we are looking forward to all the normal routines and traditions that Somerdale Park School has to offer. Here are a few things to look forward to.
- Our students will return to the cafeteria for meals
- Middle school students will be using lockers
- Touchless bottle fillers with filters have been installed throughout the building
Did you hear the great news? Mr. Ford is now the Principal of Somerdale Park School. He is really excited for the new challenge and will be working closely with you and your children to provide a safe and successful school year. Please make sure you view his weekly “5 Minutes With Ford” for valuable school information. I will continue to lead the Somerdale School District in my role as Superintendent. We also added two new members to our team
- Mrs. Tara Costello – Middle School teacher
- Mr. William Thompson - Business Administrator
With the addition of our new parking lot, there will be changes with our AM drop off and PM pick up procedures. You will be receiving a formal letter with detailed instructions to assist you. The Somerdale Police Department will be assisting us with this new traffic pattern around our school.
- All students in grades PK-4 will be dropped off in the new parking lot
- Students in grades 5-8 will be dropped off on Grace St. at our normal “Kiss and Drop” area
- If you have multiple students please pick one location to drop off all of your students
- More instructions and information will be provided as we get closer to the start of school
Lastly, our Uniform Policy has been replaced with a new Dress Code Policy. Please visit our website for the new policy.
If you have any questions regarding these changes please do not hesitate to contact the main office at 856-783-6261 and they will be able direct your call to the appropriate department.
And As Always…Go Cavs.
Sincerely,
Mr. Mark Pease Superintendent
